We are pleased to announce the winners of the 2009 Strokesafe Awards!

The Strokesafe Awards recognise the efforts of health professionals, community groups and workplaces that support the national awareness campaign during National Stroke Week.

Health professionals, community groups and workplaces are encouraged to hold an activity or event in their community or workplace that promotes the signs of stroke and the FAST test.

We know that an advertising campaign alone will not educate people about the early warning signs of stroke.  We need your help to reinforce the message at a local level, and help us save 110,000 lives from stroke over 10 years.

There are five categories for the strokesafe awards:

1.    Hospital team (Metro)
2.    Hospital team (Rural)
3.    General Practice/Community Health
4.    Stroke Support Group/Community Group
5.    Workplace
