Spasticity education campaign 8/11/2011

Postby emma » Fri Oct 21, 2011 11:26 am

Hi Everyone, I received this information about an upcoming webinar and thought some people would be interested. Details are;
Tuesday, November 8, 2011
6:00-7:30 p.m. Central time

The below text comes from the National Stroke Association site at http://nsa.convio.net/site/MessageViewe ... v_id=16821

National Stroke Association is a proud advocacy partner of the Release Your Potential spasticity education campaign. Spasticity is a condition affecting many stroke survivors. It does not allow voluntary relaxation of muscles and makes movement, posture and balance difficult. It can affect your ability to move one or more of your limbs, or to move one side of your body. While there is no cure for spasticity, there are treatments.

If you or someone you love suffers from spasticity, don’t miss this complimentary opportunity to learn more about treatment options. Register now for the upcoming Release Your Potential webinar on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. Central time.

During the webinar, you’ll hear from Michael Saulino, MD, PhD, Clinical Director, Intrathecal Therapy Services, who specializes in spasticity management, and an ambassador (a person living with severe spasticity) who is receiving treatment to help manage severe spasticity related to stroke.
