About know your numbers:
Know your numbers is an annual campaign run by the National Stroke Foundation to raise awareness about blood pressure and to help people reduce their risk of stroke.

Blood pressure checking stations are set up in various public locations such as pharmacies and community events to provide an opportunity for people to check their blood pressure and to receive educational information and lifestyle advice.

In 2011 Know your numbers will be run in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales with the aim of checking over 60,000 blood pressures.

To find your nearest blood pressure checking station visit http://www.strokefoundation.com.au/kynpharmacyfinder

Hi Emma,
This is something I am always aware of is my numbers when it comes to blood pressure.
If I do not feel right I have taken it myself at home to check that everything is OK I do not panic about it these days as I know I have taken my medication. I guess if I had a lot of stress over something or a horrible fright I am sure my BP would go up.
It is and can be a good warning sign for a lot of people and a great way of preventing a stroke in the first place.

Thought I would let you all know that the Know Your Numbers bllod pressure campaign, was a fantastic success.

The media surrounding it was the best that we have ever had, and we hope that many more people now know their blood pressure numbers.

If you saw my other post you will know that FAST is also working, with the calls to 000 increasing.

The more people we get early to hospital, the better off many will be........

When we have a report of stats, I will post them for you.
I work for the National Stroke Foundation as the digital go to girl.

Bit about me: I like nonsense and hate acronyms :)
