Veolia Environmental Services, through the Stroke of Art exhibitions and subsequent fundraising events, have contributed over $200, 000 to the National Stroke Foundation to aid stroke research since 2003. The 2007 exhibition is set to be the largest and most successful, with over 100 participants from Australia and the globe.

Judith Halliday, founder of Stroke of Art and Ambassador for the National Stroke Foundation is confident of the success of this year’s exhibition, stating:

“ As a stroke survivor myself, I knew that the most positive way for me to express my desperation during my recovery was through art.  With the assistance of Veolia, Stroke of Art has continued to grow for over 5 years. We can proudly acknowledge that the 2007 exhibition will again provide an opportunity to not only give many stroke survivors a voice, but also raise much needed awareness of this condition”.
The exhibition, solely sponsored by Veolia Environmental Services, will be displayed at NSW Parliament House from 7 – 25 May, with the annual Charity Fundraising Event held on 23rd May, at Four Season Hotel, Sydney with guest speaker Jane Hayley, CEO (Acting) of the Australian Business Arts Foundation.
