Smoking doubles your risk of stroke

ImageA new public health campaign launched by the NSW Cancer Institute highlights the link between smoking and stroke.

With estimates that smoking may contribute to up to one in three strokes in NSW, there has never been a better time to quit.  If smokers give up they halve their risk of stroke.  To find out more visit the QUIT Victoria website


The advertising campaign which aired from 20th May until the end of June 2007 highlights the impact stroke can have on the whole family.
