The National Stroke Foundation (NSF) has developed a blood pressure (BP) program to raise awareness about high BP
and stroke in the community. Know your numbers aims to deliver a prevention message about the importance of having regular BP checks and for people to understand the consequences of high BP.

In 2007 Know your numbers was piloted in Victoria. Through partnerships with The Pharmacy Guild Australia and Rotary, BP checking stations were set up in various community locations. Pressure stations provided an opportunity for people to stop and check their BP.

In 2008, Know your numbers was further rolled out in South-East Queensland and involved participation from The Pharmacy Guild (Victoria and Queensland), Rotary and YMCA to provide free BP checks.

In May 2009, over 500 pressure stations in Victoria and Queensland participated in various public locations including Pharmacy, YMCA branches, Rotary Clubs, Community Health Centres and Hospitals.
