Know your numbers is an annual blood pressure awareness campaign which aims to deliver a prevention message about blood pressure. It highlights the importance of having regular blood pressure checks and helps people to understand the link between blood pressure and stroke.

Stroke units provide the best treatment for acute stroke. Stroke patients have a better chance of surviving and being independent if they receive care in a hospital stroke unit where treatment is provided by a specialised multidisciplinary team. A list of Australian public hospitals with stroke care units is based hospitals self reporting to the National Stroke Foundation.

 The Clinical Report was undertaken in 2007. The objectives of the audit program were to describe the services and resources available in hospitals and to determine whether provision of clinical stroke care was consistent with evidence based recommendations. |
