Core members Stroke Society of Australasia, National Stroke Foundation, Stroke Services NSW, QLD Stroke Clinical Network, Victorian Stroke Care Network, SA stroke network (SASUN), WA stroke network (WASUN) ,Tasmania stroke network (TASSUN), Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, Australian Physiotherapy Association, Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, Australian General Practice Network, Dieticians Association of Australia, Occupational Therapy Australia, Royal College of Nursing Australia, Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, Speech Pathology Australia, The Council of Ambulance Authorities, Stroke Consumers Associated Organisations Other key organisations will be linked to the ASC through a range of methods including formal invitations to particular meetings, sub-committees or working groups. Minutes to meetings and other documentation will be made available through formalised communication channels. Associated organisations include: Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian College of Ambulance Professionals, Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine , Australian Council of the Royal Flying Doctors, Australian General Practice Network, Australian Psychological Society, Beyond Blue, Carers Australia, Continence Foundation of Australia, Diabetes Australia, Heart Foundation of Australia, National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, National Rural Health Alliance, Palliative Care Australia, Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, The Pharmacy Guild of Australia, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia. Membership of state-based clinical networks is evolving. In states where a funded clinical network exists the network manager and a stroke clinician will be invited to participate. In states and territories where there is no funded network, clinicians will be asked to take on representation. Recommendations regarding membership are made by the Co-Chairs of the ASC. Formal review of membership will be considered on an annual basis after consultation with ASC members. |
